Duties

Community Resource Service, which operates the Brantford Food Bank is looking to hire a Warehouse / Food Distribution Coordinator.

This position will be responsible for the operation of our warehouse spaces. Working closely with the Food Bank team and a number of volunteers, this position will ensure the following:
•    Maintain warehouses is an orderly, clean and safe manner
•    Organized food storage and distribution of all food donations and purchased product
•    Ensures FIFO stock rotation
•    Orientation and training of all volunteers working in warehouse locations
•    Preparation and scheduling of transfers, delivery and pick-ups
•    Receiving of all purchased and donated food and grocery products
•    Sorting of all food donations
•    Inventory recording
•    Relief driver for delivery and pick ups (G/DZ license)
•    Health and Safety of all warehouse locations
•    proper maintenance of all warehouse equipment and refrigeration units
•    Performs other related duties as required

Qualifications

•    General familiarity with food distribution and inventory
•    Knowledge of office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
•    Knowledge of warehouse safety and safe food handling processes
•    Demonstrated high degree of maturity, reliability, good judgment, tack and discretion when dealing with sensitive and confidential information
•    Strong interpersonal skills
•    Highly organized and self directed - ability to manage priorities and plan assigned duties
•    Strong problem solving skills and ability to coordinate multiple projects and groups
•    ability to be flexible and adapt to varying workload demands
•    Valid G Drivers license with clear driver abstract
•    Experience in a warehouse setting - specifically with receiving and inventory control.
•    Customer service or front-line service highly preferred.
