Recycling Equipment Service Technician - Carr Industrial Ltd.
Day Shift- Monday to Friday
Duties
Carr Industrial has over 25 years experience offering varied aspects of industrial process contracting. Our customers come to us for trade services, custom conveyors, and as a supplier of baling and processing equipment. Our trades include millwrighting, preventative maintenance, installations, fabrication, machining, hydraulics, and electrical services.
Responsibilities:
- Installing, servicing, and troubleshooting on baling equipment in a variety of industrial settings
- Conducting Preventative Maintenance activities and prioritizing tasks accordingly
- Ability to identify root cause of equipment failures and follow-up on feasibility of modifications
- Understand system schematics and circuit diagrams
- Welding, Rigging and Arc air gouging
We are a lean manufacturing environment so consistent improvement and following processes is very important.
Qualifications
- Manufacturing environment experience with a Mechanical aptitude
- Hydraulic knowledge.
- Conveyor knowledge
- Knowledge of 2 ram and horizontal balers
- Experience with hand tools (grinder, drill, die grinder, various saws)
- Experience with shop tools (various saws, welders, drill press, iron worker)
- Attention to detail leading to high quality work
- Ability to multitask while Working safely
- Working independently (independent problem solving), as well as in a team
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Comfortable with computers
- Required Education: High School Diploma/Certificate (College Diploma or Trade License would be an asset)
