About the role
The Production Operator is responsible for preparing and arranging materials, melting cocoa butter, dumping cocoa powders, cleaning and any other duties as requested by the Shift Lead.

Key responsibilities 
•    Observe all safety, sanitation, GMP and HACCP requirements; wearing PPE and using proper safety equipment.
•    Prepare raw materials including melting cocoa butter, pumping oils, lecithin and dumping cocoa powders.
•    Clean magnets and document HACCP.
•    Set up room and start up equipment as beginning of shift, if necessary.
•    Validate which product the Melter has to melt. Cocoa Liquor, Butter, Coconut Butter or rework.
•    Melt the products making sure the product is going to the right tank.
•    Enters ingredients used into SAP.
•    Communicates production information to incoming Shift Supervisor and regularly with others on crew.
•    Reads and co-ordinates tanks scales.
•    Performs equipment quality/safety inspections daily.
•    Completes all required safety checklists on a daily basis.
•    Required to learn on shipping liquid loads, receiving liquid loads and drum and tote as needed.
•    Required to learn and cover the mixing positions.
•    May be required to assist in other areas of production to cover for absences, vacations, increase in production.
•    Ensures compliance with all food and employee safety policies and procedures.

Qualifications

•    High school diploma or equivalent with ability to follow both written and oral instructions.
•    Math Skill required.
•    One (1) year food manufacturing experience, a plus.
•    Ability to stand on concrete floor for long periods of time.
•    Bend, squat, stretch and reach frequently; ability to climb stairs, often.
•    Must be able to lift a minimum of 50lbs, often.
•    Comfortable working at heights.
•    Must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions and temperatures in the facility.
•    Noise level can exceed 0.85 decibels.
