Duties

Are you interested in helping with conservation, agri-tourism, and farming?

Hearts Content Organic Farm is a small organic farm along the Brantford to Dundas rail trail. We specialize in herbs, farmstay and conservation. Richard is a retired naturopathic doctor who specializes in herbs, wildcraft and making value added herbal products (salves, lip balms, dried herbs). Ella is a retired professor of Sociology of Environment and Health. Her passion is conservation (restoring wetlands, and planting shelterbelts, mini-forest, and pollinators) and protecting farmland.

We are very dedicated to fostering an inclusive community. We…

  • grow organic crops (e.g. medicinal & edible herbs, pollinators, berries & nuts),
  • do wildcrafting – harvesting herbs to dry for sale to an herbal company,
  • make value added products such as dried herbs, salves & lip balms,
  • host farmstay (camping, glamping, and accessible suites),
  • work on conservation projects (restoring wetlands, planting trees),
  • work to protect farmland, natural areas, and water,
  • promote ecotourism with bird and plant walks, and
  • rescue and redistribute organic food, with a focus on migrant farm workers and seniors.

You would be involved in helping with the following:

  • planting, cultivating & harvesting organic crops
