Manager- George and Station House programs - SOAR Community Services
37.5 hours a week, predominantly Monday to Friday days, with occasional events in the evening.

Duties
SOAR Community Services Brantford has been an established part of the community for more than 55 years, and is accredited for our excellence in serving children, youth, adults, and families.
We are seeking an innovative, collaborative, quality-focused Manager to oversee our George and Station House programs. As a community leader in supporting people who use substances, and those who experience mental health issues alongside other social determinants of health challenges, we provide a broad range of services to support people to meet their individual goals. George House is a bed-based housing program for youth ages 14-16 providing support for high needs youth in care. Station House provides a safe place to stay for young people who are experiencing homelessness or who are at risk of homelessness between 15-17 years of age. Within a harm reduction philosophy, you will collaborate with internal and external partners to ensure coordinated, integrated, quality service. As part of the dedicated and collegial SOAR Community Services leadership team, you will also contribute to overall organizational strategic direction and policy development. The Manager will:
• Supervise staff, including recruiting and performance management
• Provide ongoing oversight across programs and provide supervision as required
• Develop and evaluate program activities
• Lead collaborative service delivery efforts
• Oversee case management functions
• Implement marketing strategies
• Conduct audits to maintain accuracy and integrity of client files, identify data quality issues and contribute to Ministry reporting
• Ensure health and safety standards are met to ensure safe operation of the facility
• Provide input and monitor adherence to program budget
• Develops and maintains professional working relationships with community organizations and other agencies by sharing information and resolving problems with groups.

Qualifications
- Degree or diploma in related Social/Human Sciences – university preferred
- Registration with a professional governing body preferred
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in management role
- Demonstrated expertise in the delivery of client centered services and program evaluation
- Demonstrated knowledge of relevant practices, rules, regulations, and laws that affect programs
- Demonstrated knowledge of financial management specific to budgeting, resource management, and the ability to collect and analyze data
- Must have access to reliable transportation, as some travel may be required.
- Please also note that the successful candidate will be required to provide a police vulnerable sector check as a condition of employment, however strong consideration is made to the type of offense.
