Monday to Friday 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. with some adjusted hours to meet client service demands 

Duties

Funded by the Ministry of Labour, Immigration, Training and Skills Development, Employment Ontario services are available to assist both job seekers and employers.

As an Employment Consultant, you will: 

  • Develop employment opportunities for clients
  • Provide employment and training needs assessment and case management
  • Develop Service Plans
  • Provide instruction, individual support and advocacy
  • Facilitate workshops
  • Complete reporting requirements
  • Collaborate with local training providers
  • Work with local employers to provide placements
  • Monitor client’s employment retention for 365 days

Start date: as soon as possible

Qualifications

  • Have a College Diploma in a Human/Social Services or Business field, with a Career Practitioner/Job Development certificate an asset
  • Have a minimum 1-year experience in a related field
  • Be proficient in MS Office and be familiar with databases
  • Access to reliable transportation, as some travel may be required
  • Ability to manage exposure to vicarious traumatic stress
