Duties

David W. Wilson Manufacturing Ltd., has established a reputation for quality, dependability and service with over 60 years in the industry. We manufacture custom parts and assemblies for a wide variety of clients. 

We are looking for an experienced Brake Press Operator 

  • Successful candidate will participate in the operation of bending and shaping metal parts in our manufacturing plant on our Brake Press.
  • Comfortable with reading and interpreting blueprints and executing the final product as required.
  • Ensure all safety controls are in place.
  • Safely load and unload machine.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 - 4 years of experience in a brake press/manufacturing environment.
  • Experienced with thicker gauge steel
  • Able to do your own set ups
  • Must have good math skills.
  • Can follow written and verbal instructions work instructions and safety rules and be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must demonstrate quality and attention to work details.
  • Shows exceptional people skills with a ‘can do’ attitude.
  • Capable of using other precision tools such as; caliper, measuring tape, height gauges, form gauges and templates.
  • Some heavy lifting, carrying and handling of objects; able to lift up to and including 50 lbs.

Eligibility

  • All new employees are required to provide an original Police Record Check.
  • Proof of Secondary School Diploma is a must.
  • You are legally eligible to work in Canada.
  • Able to perform the physical requirements of the job, which may include bending, stooping, reaching, twisting, lifting, standing, walking, repetitive motion and other job specific requirements.
  • A valid driver’s license or transportation required, as this position is located in Cathcart, Ontario is not on a bus route
