Administrative Support - SOAR Community Services
Monday to Friday 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. with some evenings and weekends
Duties
Funded by the Ministry of Labour, Immigration, Training and Skills Development, Employment Ontario services are available to assist both job seekers and employers.
As an Administrative Support for the Caledonia Employment Centre, you would:
Provide information, referral services and administrative support to all staff within the Employment department
Engage clients to identify information gaps and desired resources
Collect data, input into the appropriate database, and generate reports or upload information to the appropriate ministry
Check the Ministry database for TRF/RASP/OW referrals and document their contact attempts
Liaise with internal and external partners for office and workshop room bookings
Conduct follow-ups with referral agencies to obtain satisfaction ratings and to measure the appropriateness of referrals made
Start date: April 7, 2025
Qualifications
- Have a college diploma in the Human/Social Services or Business field
- Have a minimum of 2 years’ combined student placement and/or paid experience working in a related field
- Be proficient in MS Office and be familiar with databases
- Have access to reliable transportation
- Be able to manage occasional exposure to vicarious traumatic stress
