A COVID-19 Outbreak Has Been Declared at Cornerstone House
Today an outbreak of COVID-19 is being declared by the Brant County Health Unit at St. Leonard's Community Services' Cornerstone House on Dalhousie Street after a client and staff members tested positive for COVID-19. We have been working with the Health Unit to identify close contacts and those impacted have been notified and will be following all of the Public Health guidelines and advice in regards to isolation and testing.
The outbreak itself, pending no more positive cases, will last for roughly 10 days (so likely until the 18th of April, 2022). As a result, Cornerstone House will not be completing any new intakes during this time and will be referring all clients to the Housing Resource Centre.
When we have additional information about the status of the outbreak including any additional positive cases, or when the outbreak is cleared, we will communicate that to all staff.
Please check back on this website and/or our social media pages (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter) for further information and all of the latest updates on this outbreak and any agency changes.
