Monday to Friday, 7.5-hour days (i.e., 8:30 a.m. – 4 p.m., 8:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.)   

Duties

The Bed-based Addiction Treatment Clinical Lead provides direct client service in group and individual modalities, coaching and mentoring for Concurrent Disorders Clinicians, and supports the implementation and evaluation of evidence-based therapeutic practices within our bed-based treatment programs.  This position monitors the therapeutic value of our group and individual interventions, with particular attention to gender-specific programming and trauma-informed practices.  They collaborate with the Manager of bed-based treatment to ensure the group curriculum is evidence-based and delivered with fidelity. This role facilitates team case conferences and meetings to ensure strengths-based, collaborative care for clients who want to make changes to their substance use. They make a difference! 

The Bed-based Addiction Treatment Clinical Lead:

  • Provides group and individual therapeutic intervention to bed-based treatment program participants
  • Develops, implements, and evaluates clinical programming, ensuring adherence to effective practices
  • Supports staff through training and coaching and collaborates with program leadership to support staff development
  • Leverages daily interactions of staff and clients as teachable moments to integrate more client-centred and trauma-informed approaches
  • Implements quality improvement initiatives, leveraging client feedback
  • Collaborates with internal and external partners to ensure comprehensive, coordinated care
  • Maintains a safe and clean facility

Qualifications

  • BSW required
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in treating substance use or concurrent disorders
  • Minimum 2 years’ supervisory or clinical practice lead experience in a related field
  • Current registration with OCSWSSW is required
  • Knowledge and experience with facilitating group therapy
  • Ability to apply and coach to evidence-based theoretical models, including CBT, DBT, MI, and trauma-informed care
  • Knowledge of care coordination/integrated services to meet unique needs of individuals with concurrent disorders.
  • Must have access to reliable transportation, as some travel between Brantford sites is required
  • Ability to manage frequent exposure to direct and vicarious traumatic stress
  • Mediation / Conflict Resolution / Leadership training preferred
  • Be proficient in MS Office and be familiar with databases.
