Duties

Brucefield Manor, a well-loved retirement residence in Mount Pleasant, is looking for a hands-on, reliable Maintenance Worker to help keep our home running smoothly.

This role is perfect for someone who enjoys variety, takes pride in their work, and cares about supporting seniors in a respectful, dignified way.

What You’ll Do:

  • Snow removal and maintain outdoor spaces

  • Handle small repairs and basic maintenance tasks around the home

  • Assist with transporting residents, as needed

  • Help staff with lifts and transfers (including use of a Hoyer lift)

  • Step in where needed to keep things safe, clean, and comfortable

Qualifications

What You Bring:

  • General handyman or maintenance experience

  • A helpful, team-oriented attitude

  • Willingness to support residents with care and respect

  • Ability to lift, move, or assist with physical tasks safely

Eligibility

  • A valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle
  • Clear vulnerable sector police check
